With a background in training and education, Dr. Sandra Wright became a passionate advocate in the fight to help women experiencing domestic violence. In 2018, she began this journey independently, without the support of being under the umbrella of a nonprofit organization. Everything was funded through her and her husband’s personal resources. She officially established the nonprofit in 2023.
She has worked tirelessly to assist women in domestic violence situations by providing resources, grant funding, and other forms of support. Her combined expertise has given her the ability to operate a nonprofit organization with both a caring heart and a strong business mindset. She has also served as an Adjunct Professor of Education at Concordia University and as a facilitator at Georgia State University and Clayton State University. Sandra works daily to ensure that the women involved in any of the programs offered by Possibilities Unlimited for Women, Inc. are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve.
Domestic violence is not someone else’s issue—it is everyone’s issue. It has a ripple effect that can impact families and be passed from generation to generation. Furthermore, domestic violence affects both the present and the future of individuals, families, and communities.
Together, we can help break the cycle of domestic violence—one step at a time and one person at a time.
